Alright everyone! This has been a long time coming but I finally have decided to add one of my personal favorite bands to the site for all of you to enjoy! So here they are, "Thee Oh Sees". One of the most psychedelic, amazing and fantastic bands of all time, these guys are like the ultimate acid trip and best sex you ever had all wrapped in one. Now, here is a little bit about the band!
Thee Oh Sees is a band from San Francisco, California, USA. The group began as an outlet for John Dwyer (of Coachwhips, Pink and Brown, Yikes, The Hospitals) to release his instrumental, experimental home recordings, and over the course of several albums evolved into a full band. The band is noted for its prolific album releases, energetic live shows, and whimsical visual aesthetic that juxtaposes cartoon imagery and horror.
The band has changed its name several times, being known as Orinoka Crash Suite, OCS, Orange County Sound, and The Ohsees.
Well, there is a tiny bit about this great band but if you like what you hear, other bands you can listen to are "Jay Reatard" and "Nobunny" which are both derived from this same band, "Thee Oh Sees". Now for some links! The first is to my personal favorite song of theirs of their newest album,
"Minotaur", the second is to their song, " Toe Cutter- Thumb Buster" off of the new album as well, and the last one is to their cover of The Creation's "If I Stay Too Long". Now, because I am such a great person, I have also added another two videos of both Jay Reatard and Nobunny! so make sure to check those out as well! The first is to Jay Reatard's song, "It ain't gonna save me" and the other one is Nobunny's song, " Blow Dumb" which is one of my personal favorites!
